WELCOME

Thankyou for visiting us!

The Church of The Ascension Hall Green is in the Diocese of Birmingham in the Church of England. We warmly invite you to come an d meet the friendly congregation here. We are Christians on a journey, responding to the God who created us, following Jesus Christ who reconciles us and enabled by the Holy Spirit who refreshes us.

Historically, it is the oldest Church in Hall Green and is at the junction of School Road and Fox Hollies Road, postcode B28 8JD. The Church building is distinctive in design, Grade 2*, a listed building within a Churchyard marked by a perimeter wall. The Church is surrounded by a variety of trees, bushes and flowers, making it a pleasant place.

Alongside there are two large halls (and a small garden), which houses a variety of activities - play-group, karaté, uniformed groups, choral society, badminton and  folk dancing- just to mention a few ! There is a page entitled “Usual Activities” which gives details, and “email us” for further information.

Job Marston was the local gentleman who  provided for the Church to be built, living as he did in the hamlet of Hall Green. In his will he provided for the chapel to be built (see our history page) and the site has been developing ever since. Currently there is a project, called the Job Marston Centre, which aims to up date the community facilities for the future. Do contact us for further information.

See  our “Special Events” page for current activity - and special events coming up.

Do visit us,  Sincere Regards, The Church Community
